The Bear stretches to 6,832 yards from the back tees and plays to a par 71, with a course rating and slope of 72.1/120. The Bear was designed as a championship length inland "links-style" course, and features rolling fairways, strategic bunkering and well conditioned greens. The Bear course is home of the annual Chandler City Amateur Championship, and usually hosts a variety of Arizona Golf Association qualifying events each year. Rounds on the Bear course should be played in no more than 4 hours.

Bear Creek Golf Complex is located in southern Chandler, and is easily accessible from either metropolitan Phoenix or Tucson.
From northern Arizona or metropolitan Phoenix: Take the southern portion of the Loop 202 (San Tan Freeway) to the Arizona Avenue exit. Head south on Arizona Avenue approximately 4.5 miles to the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Riggs Road. Turn east (left) on Riggs Road and the facility entrance is on the north side of the street, ¼ mile from the intersection.
From southern Arizona or the Tucson area: Take I-10 north toward Phoenix. Exit on Riggs Road, and turn eastbound (right) and drive through the Sun Lakes community, approximately 4.5 miles, to the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Riggs Road. Proceed through the intersection, and the facility entrance is on the north side of the street, ¼ mile east of Arizona Avenue.
