Enjoy an easy hike up to this amazing area where you’ll find many 1,000 year-old Indian petroglyphs and pools of seasonal water. The trailhead is just a few miles east of Gold Canyon Golf Resort.
Apacheland
In this historic town, John Wayne and Elvis Presley filmed many of their famous Western movies. Local restaurant serving burgers, steaks, and salads is open for lunch, dinner and cocktails. Located 2 miles east of Gold Canyon Golf Resort on Kings Ranch Road.
Dolly Steamboat
Canyon Lake is called the "Junior Grand Canyon". Cruise the inner waterways and relax on a steamboat replica of a sternwheeler paddleboat from the times of Mark Twain. Only 16 miles northeast of Apache Junction, just before Tortilla Flats.
